As one of Italy's many picturesque locations, Burano offers an wonderland of color for artists. This small island off Venice has houses in almost every shade from pastel to vivid tones. I loved visiting Burano and I create my scenes using photographs and imagination. My style is Whimsical Realism; it's fun, full of color and while my subjects are clear, I don't recreate a photograph. Enjoy the details and the mix of colors showing a day on Burano. My Italian island-scapes are painted in fine acrylics on a stretched canvas, and they are ready to hang, no framing necessary. The canvas edges are painted white, which projects the color explosion in each painting. This painting is a large size, measuring 30 inches high and 48 inches wide.
