Rosy Bourke Parakeets are native to Australia - they are the only parrot species that has no green feathers! Instead, their plumage can vary from a pale peachy pink to a rosy hue, with touches of brilliant blue under the wings and cream to brown feathers to complete. As a wildlife conservationist, I enjoyed raising this uncommon species. These small parrots are quiet and gentle; Seeing them in flocks of pink is a wondrous and enjoyable sight. These three birds are painted in vivid acrylics on a stretched canvas, with a protective UV varnish. I love the mixed background of blue tones to set off the pink plumage. A contemporary satin white wood frame enhances the colorful art. (framed dimensions are listed).
